Pentair Kreepy Krauly Dive Float (370497Z)

 

The dive float is a replacement part made by Pentair. It is made from the same high-grade plastic material as the original factory part. Making this a legitimate OEM product. 

This float is designed to sit above the drive tubes and attaches itself to the main body motor housing. The purpose of this float is to keep the top end of the cleaner upright as opposed to being on its side. Which would ultimately keep the cleaner from sucking dirt and debris off the surface of your pool.

When trying to troubleshoot an issue with your Kreepy Krauly suction cleaner like the cleaner not being able to stand upright, the float is more than likely not set in the correct position needed to keep the cleaner upright or it may be compromised meaning there is a leak. The cool thing about this float and what makes it unique as far as its design is that it can be easily re-positioned to get the cleaner at its optimum position which is 45 degrees. This also helps with the cleaner’s ability to climb the pool wall, however, if out of position this will cause the cleaner to climb too far up so it must be adjusted accordingly.
