The hose plays the vital role of not only supplying the cleaner with the power to operate via the skimmer and the help of the reducer cone or vac port fitting that is installed on your return line. It also gives it the ability to reach across the entirety of the pool as it cleans. In order to properly install the hose, you want to attach it to the cleaner and then continue to install each section of the hose until it reaches the furthest point of your pool, you’ll need an extra 4 feet of length on top of that to ensure it can reach the entirety of the pool’s surface. Also, to make it easier when attaching the hoses together you want to wet the ends in the pool water then twist and push the female ends onto the male ends.
