This case kit is designed for the back-up valve system and its purpose is to be the outer protective shell if you will, for the internal mechanism. Which is the operating system for the back-up valve? This valve is supposed to come on every 2 ½ to 3 minutes to pull the cleaner out of any tight corners or trouble areas that could impede the cleaner from doing its duties.

This part is black and is located approximately 18 inches from the head of the cleaner making it easy to find. This case DOES NOT include the internal mechanism so if you’re having an issue with the cleaner floating near the surface then this more than likely is caused by the back-up valve’s internal mechanism failing. You can confirm this by checking the valves run time which should only be about 30 seconds. If it longer than that, then the mechanism has failed and needs to be replaced.
